Commonly known as "Wu Zhan Lou Zai", it opened on December 5, 1932 in the middle of the Japanese occupation. At the beginning of the 17th century, the Dutch used a combination of military and businessmen to occupy today's Anping in 1624 and built the city of Jeranja as its defensive fortress. The entire project was completed in 1634. After Zheng Chenggong took the Dutch city in 1662, it was renamed Anping Town and the inner city was changed to the Inner Mansion. Therefore, Taiwanese called it the Royal City. During the Qing period, the Taijiang and Lufu lost its importance, and the Qing troops destroyed the city of Relanzhe to build a golden city for a billion years, so it was gradually abandoned. It was rebuilt after the Japanese occupation, and it was called "Anping Old Fort" after World War II. At present, the only real remains of the Dutch period are the brick walls of the southern wall of the outer city in front of the castle. The roots of the old banyan tree are infinitely vicissitudes, and they have witnessed the history of Taijiang for nearly 400 years. In 1975, in line with the Tourism Year plan, the Tainan City Government renovated the surroundings of the Anping Fortress and added a pointed roof to the observation deck.
